Hello Everyone! In todays post I would like to share more about my journey creating custom brushes and stamps for Procreate.

As you probably already know, I love making custom brushes. They are amazing when done right and can be huge time savers. Sometimes they can even help to spark ideas when the creative tank is running low.

Up until now I have mostly created texture brushes, seem-less patterns, chain and ribbon effects, and even a couple specialty ones like the Spider-Web brush ( looks like Spider-Man’s webs ) and 3D Barb Wire. ( I actually constructed the brush entirely in 3D first then made it into a brush tip using Clip Studio Paint. )

So Now Why Procreate Stamps? What the Heck are Procreate Stamps Anyways?

Basically they are high quality images or shapes created into brushes.

These are much more like stock art but when done properly are highly effective. They help to organize the work and allow us to implement the references or source material with just a few clicks.

Now I am hooked on making brushes that can be used as Stamps in Procreate. These are great for references and you really can’t beat the ability to grab them from a brush folder and drop them into the canvas without searching through your devices.

How many times have you found some amazing image and then went to catalog it on your computer for later, only to realize you lost it when you finally go to retrieve it.

Or if you are like me you forgot about it entirely until you pass over it looking for something else. Yeah, the struggle is real over here folks.

The Procreate Stamps are a far superior way to go about stashing your references. Not everything of course but just the major things that we revisit daily or need the most help with.

Procreate Stamps you Might Just Need!

I will use myself as an example here. For me, I want a quick reference for eyes, head angles, vehicles, hands, and feet. Definitely hands and feet!!

By having these poses in a Procreate Stamp set it makes it super easy for you to navigate to the brush pack and click through a variety of angles. Pick the ones you like and drop them into your canvas.

Then draw them in your own style so that one day you won’t need the reference at all or maybe you just use them on those tight deadlines.

It really is a powerful way to work in this ever demanding world of production art.

Here are a couple of the sets that I have recently created and you might find useful –

I have more ideas on the way and keep in mind these sets will only get bigger over time. I am drawing more poses now and you get all future updates for free after purchasing the set.

My next pack is going to focus on hands and feet. So make sure to sign up for my newsletter for updates. You can also get any of my digital products on my Etsy store if you prefer.

FYI. I am also converting these to brush packs for Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop so be on the lookout for those if that is your art program of choice.

Thank you for following the work and I would love to know what ideas you have and what you want to see next. Your feedback is always appreciated!

Good luck with your art and have a blessed day! 🙂
